UPS controlled shutdown of CCM

I have a customer requirement to shutdown a CCM cluster cleanly in the event of a power failure. The CCMs will be powered via a UPS with a connection into the back of the CCMs. After 5 minutes, if the power doesn't come back, the UPS will initiate a shutdown of the CCMs.

Has anyone done this before?

Presumably, the UPS supplier will provide a piece of agent software which will need installing on the CCMs. Is there a list of Cisco SUPPORTED UPS software?

Re: UPS controlled shutdown of CCM

Sorry but AFAIK there are no supported UPS software apps for CallManager. This URL defines the supported software:

Re: UPS controlled shutdown of CCM

I have not tried but have you looked to see if there are any windows snmp mibs that would allow the ups to send a trap to the actuall call manager server to start a shut down. worth taking a look at. Also a second thought with the windows built in support for generic ups you may not need the third party ups client if the basic features will do what you need.

hope this helps
