I have a customer requirement to shutdown a CCM cluster cleanly in the event of a power failure. The CCMs will be powered via a UPS with a connection into the back of the CCMs. After 5 minutes, if the power doesn't come back, the UPS will initiate a shutdown of the CCMs.
Has anyone done this before?
Presumably, the UPS supplier will provide a piece of agent software which will need installing on the CCMs. Is there a list of Cisco SUPPORTED UPS software?
I have not tried but have you looked to see if there are any windows snmp mibs that would allow the ups to send a trap to the actuall call manager server to start a shut down. worth taking a look at. Also a second thought with the windows built in support for generic ups you may not need the third party ups client if the basic features will do what you need.
