URL in CiscoIPPhoneInput

I would like to access a protected URL over the CiscoIPPhoneInput. Within my Webbrowser this works by entering http://User:Passwort@

When I use <URL>http://User:Passwort@</URL> within my CiscoIPPhoneInput i get the following error message after hiting the Search Button: Host Not Found

I think the problem is the : or the @ within the URL. Must I escape these characters?

Re: URL in CiscoIPPhoneInput

To be honest it sounds like a bug to me. You shouldn’t have to use escape chars to make it work. Have you checked with TAC or the bug finding interface on Cisco’s website?

Re: URL in CiscoIPPhoneInput

The : and @ symbols within the URL are just a means to supply the username and password within the URL line, if you remove that portion of the address, you should be prompted for a username and password.

If you were to take out the user:passwort@ section of your URL it should then just prompt you for a username and password.

I use this function all the time to access FTP sites that dont prompt you for a login.

Re: URL in CiscoIPPhoneInput

Helo Joel,

i understand the meaning of the : and the @!!!

I need them because my site prompts for a passwort. So you see i can not remove them!

My Problem is that this will work within a browser but not within the VoIP-Phone.

For a better understanding you can find my asp-file here:
