Users reporting Clipping on VOIP Phones

On our main network users are reporting clipping on their voip phones, is there any way to reduce this?

We have QOS and 7940 phones with callmanager 3.2 can anyone help or do you need more info.

Please advise.

Is it on internal, or external calls?

Either a phone load issue or VAD needs to be disabled (depending on your bandwidth situation).

This might be caused by packet loss. Do the call statistics (press ? button on 7940 twice) show RXdisc or RXlost packets?

If so, check for duplex mismatches, or improperly configured QOS.
