Using bulkedit while system is in production?

We recently went to 6-digit dialing, and while most users have an "X" in their extension for MWI use, there are many users who still have the old 4-digit extension in there, so their MWIs aren't working.

I want to use bulkedit to switch everyone to an "X". Can I do this during production hours (roughly 900 users on the system, pretty active), without interruption of service? Will bulkedit stop the Unity services?

Bulk Edit wont stop your services... it will chew on the CPU while it's chugging through the directory so you want to run it on off peak hours if you can get away with it but it shouldn't interrupt call processing services on a normally loaded system.
