Using power injector to power Cisco IP Phones 7960/40

Hi,

I have a client that dont have a switch with inline power so I use a power cube on their IP Phones. The problem is, the manager don't like to have a power lying under his table. But they dont want to invest for an inline power or an inline patch for that purpose only. So my question is can I use the power injector to power my IP Phones instead of using the default power cube? So that I can hide it on a data closet.

Your immediate response will highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Andy

I am guessing you are talking about the power injector for AP's. It does work but I don't know if it is supported.

I've tried the Power Injector in the 7940 & 7910 and they work fine. But I'm not sure if Cisco supports it. Actually in the Power Injector says "Do not plug anything other than a Access Point".
