Using the mike on 7912G

in the case I´m using the mike to speak free, the speaker turns of. Can anyone explain this to me. Can I fix this prob with a firmware-update ?

The 7912G indeed does not have a microphone. You need to use the handset to speak. The monitor functionality is meant for people in the same room to hear what the othe rperson is saying while you speak to him/her through the handset. This is a hardware feature that is documented in the 7912G Datasheet:
