VAD problems with CM 3.1 and H.323 Gateway during outbound calls.

We are currently running CCM 3.1(2c)SPB with 79XX family phones and a 4604 GWY running H.323 with a single PRI to the PSTN. We want VAD to be disabled. The SilenceSuppressionSystemWideSilence and SilenceSuppressionWithGateways Service parameters are set to False in Callmanager and VAD is disabled on voip dial peer statements on 4604-GWY running H.323. Calls between IP Phones work as advertised. On inbound calls from the PSTN VAD is disabled just fine, but on outbound calls you can hear silence suppression kick in and a quick look at the 4604 gwy verifies that VAD is enabled. We've had some outbound faxing problems and it seems this is the cause. I've used the above parameters with 6608 PRI circuits with no problems. Is there another parameter we need to set in Callmanager to disable VAD when using H.323 gateways?

Hi,

On outbound calls the dial-peer "0" will matched in the backward direction(voip dial-peer).

This is a default dial-peer and on this is vad always enabled.

You can try it with the command" incoming called-number .. " on the dial-peer in CM direction. With this command all outbound calls will take this dial-peer as backward direction.
