Validation error in IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer

The Personal Address Book service has been successfully installed and configured properly in our Call Manager system version 3.1(3a).

I am trying to allow users to populate their entries using the IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer but we are getting a validation error.

I assume Passwords are correct since users are able to log into their web pages in order to subscribe services. I am also aware of the difference between PIN and Password.

CCM Server settings used are the server's IP address and port 80

Any attempts to Synchronize address books result in an error stating that "The user has not been validated"

Is anyone aware of something I am missing? Any known behaviour with this Call Manager version?

Here is what you need to do:


This 3.1(3a) Engineering Special addresses certain Active Directory integration issues with Personal Directory

(Address Book and Fast Dial services )


·CSCdv54109: Personal Directory doesn’t work with AD integration

·CSCdw89283: TabSync fails to synchronize with the error User not validated

ES file : ciscocm.3-1-3a-AD-es02.exe --Eng Special 2

Please open a TAC case and get the engineering special ,most probably you are running into CSCdw89283
