VBR-rt for VoIP

I'm using 2 PVCs approach for VoIPoATM. For the voice bearer traffic, it is on VBR-RT (real time). for signalling. nothing else will pass through it. For signalling and other data, its on uBR. vBR-rt is deployed along the whole path including gateway and switches.

I believe I don't need LLQ because vBR-rt always prioritize the voice traffic over the data on the egress port of the gateway and within the switch as well. pls confirm my thinking is correct or not.

I want to keep the config simple, clear and logical.

Thanks.

Re: VBR-rt for VoIP

Often times complex configuration issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.

To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen

If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.

Thank you for posting.
