Verifying the Cisco CTIManager Service on Publisher

Just a sanity check: I have a three server cluster: Pub (no Call Mgr service), Sub1 and Sub2. I have two call mgr groups: Sub1/Sub2 and Sub2/Sub1. I also have an IPCC-X with about 75 CTI Ports defined.

Please verify that the CTIManager Service should be deactivated on the Publisher in this scenario. Thanks.

Re: Verifying the Cisco CTIManager Service on Publisher

You can deactivate the CTIManager service in this case. Please see the following link and the services that need to be activated.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/netsol/ns340/ns394/ns165/ns268/networking_solutions_white_paper09186a00804819d4.shtml

Since your Pub is not doing call processing or CTI work, you can deactivate the Callmanager and CTIManager services.

Keep in mind the note in the following document regarding deactivating and reactivating these services and the impact on the prescence of this server in the database and the new name you get when you reactivate.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
