After setup is examining system recv. Win32 error;

h:commsvr\sources\syscheck\preinstalledmisctests\avisrequirediisinstalled.cpp line: 77, hr=2, The system cannot find the file specified

Can you run the SysCheckPreinstall directly off the set of CDs you got from us? It'll be on CD #1 (at least on 2.4.6... 2.4.5 might have it in a lower directory... just search for it) in a directory by that name. No setup is necessary, just run the EXE right off the CD on the local box.
If that fails, you likely have a bad set of CDs or some such thing. I can email you a zipped up set of files for SysCheck to verify that.
I'll check with the SysCheck folks but it may be that it's assuming you have basic items installed that are missing (i.e. some IIS component or another). Is this NT 4.0 or Win2K? Can you run through the installation check list real fast and make sure you have the option pack (in the case of NT 4.0) installed and all that good stuff?
That error indicates that the registry key "SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\InetMgr" is not present. This probably means you haven't installed IIS properly yet (in the case of NT 4.0 this involves installing the Option Pack).
Be sure to run through the installation check list in the "Installation Guide.PDF" which can be found under the Documentation directory on CD #1 of your set. SysCheck assumes all these items are installed on your box.
