My VG-200 forwards all inbound calls to Unity Opening Greeting. Currently, outside callers hear 3-4 rings before Unity picks up. Is it possible to get Unity to answer immediately after the 1st ring?

Hello,
If I understand your question correctly, you can do this by decreasing the number of rings on Call Manager service parameter.
Go to Call Manager>service parameter>your server>Call Manager
change the value for "ForwardNoAnswerTimeout"
3-4 second is about 1 ring.
Thanks you,

If the call is going directly into voicemail, then it should answer on the first ring.
What type of interface do you have on the VG200? A VIC-2FX0-M1 with caller ID enabled will not even pickup the line until the 2nd ring, which may explain the 3rd/4th ring.
Other than that, It sounds like the first port isn't answering, and the Forward-No-Answer timer sends the call to the 2nd port where it is answered. Take a look at Status Monitor on the Unity server to see which port picks up when this happens.
