Hi,
Can someone help me to with this:
I'm using an FXO VG200 gateway and I've just configured AutoAttendant to handle calls.
My problem is that the incoming calls from the PSTN are not answered by AA.
AA is properly configured, I can call it from IP phones.
I heard that the problem might be that the vg200 tries a g729 call, but AA can only handle g711.
How can I set the vg200 to use g711 codec?
I have CM 3.1. Do I have to set it on the CM?
Thanks for the help,
Attila

When using the vg200 in mgcp mode the codec is determine from callmanager. CallManager looks at the device pool both deivces are in and determines which region they are in. The regions are what set what codecs to use. So look at the device pools vg200 and the auto attendant cti route point and cti ports are in. Then make sure the regions reflect g.711 between the devices instead of g.729.
Thank you,
