Hi,
VG200 + VIC-2BRI have 4 DSP, so is it possible to make 4 calls simultaneous with a VIC-2BRI ??
Thx,
Marc

Yes with an NM-2V.
The second Vic slot must be left spare

Hi Marc,
depending on which network module you are using.
The nm-1v have DSP for 2 voice calls and the nm-2v for 4 voice calls.
Indeed, it's impossible to use 4 B-Channel on a NM-1v neither than 8 B-channel on a NM-2V.
The solution is the new cisco 1760 router, It allow you to add some DSP so you will be able to process more voice call with vic-2BRI card.
Have a nice day

Why can I only see ONE voice port. I have a vg200 running 12.2(4.2) with a NM-2V and a VIc-2BRI. The second VIC slot is empty.
Here is what I can see :
sh run
[..]
!
voice-port 1/1/0
!
[..]
there is no voice-port 1/1/1
Router#sh ip int brie
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
FastEthernet0/0 192.168.2.1 YES NVRAM up up
BRI1/0 unassigned YES unset up down
BRI1/0:1 unassigned YES unset down down
BRI1/0:2 unassigned YES unset down down
Router#
Explanations anyone ???

To access both BRI ports you must use Slot 0 on the NM-2V. (Also remember Slot 1 should be kept empty
