I am hoping someone masy have run into this. I have a VG200 running 12.1(5)YH3 that is registered to CM 3.1(3a). I can use the conference resources w/o any problems but it will not transcode no matter what. I am trying to get G.729 at some remote sites transcoded up to G.711. Here is a copy of the config:

The additional IP route statements are from an attempt to gfet this working since the remote sites are on different subnets but this config is not working with or w/o those route statements. Anyone know of a possible IOS issue? I need to do conferencing and transcoding on this box. What am I missing? aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
I doubt the route statements will do much with regards to the problem. Here are some questions that I have.
1. In addition to the CFB, did you add the transcoder in CCMAdmin as 'Cisco IOS Media Termination Point'? It needs to be added in the format MTPxxxxxxxxxxxx, where xxxxxxxxxxxx is the MAC address of the VG200.
2. If the transcoder has been added to CCMAdmin, what is the registration status of the resource? Use performance monitor to verify that after registration, the transcoder resources are available.
3. If the transcoder resource is indeed registered, do the devices that need to use the resource have access to it? (check the device pool, MRG and MRGLs)
Yo. Proly what's going on is that you have g.729 enabled in Unity. Go to the Unity server and open the regedit from the Start\Run menu. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Active Voice\AvSkinny "G729 Enabled" turn it to "0" from "1". This disables g.729 support and ensures the best, most quality voicemail experience for end-users (if they have enough disk space!). Your IP Streaming Media App service on CCM is your software conference bridge. This software CFB bridge only supports g.711. You can configure the VG200 for mixed mode conferencing if you wanna. Check your router using "show sccp" and see if it's all registered. It should say, "Transcoding Oper State: ACTIVE - Cause Code: NONE". Let me know is this helps. Leter.

The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
1) Login into the CLI of the Publisher.
