VG248 Basic question

Does the VG248 need to register with the CallManger itself or only the devices attached to it need to be registered? For example there are 48 devices each would need to be registered would the gateway itself be considered the 49th device?

You only need to register the 48 devices on the VG248. Each device gets configured as a VGC phone.

Problem was I didn't have any devices to test this. I had to manually configure a port then it showed on the call manager it was a bit confusing, but it worked.
