VG248 Excel sheet??

has anyone seen or developed a nice VG248 cut sheet? I have (5) VG248s and I want to create an Excel sheet to organize the ports and punch downs.

Hey Tommer,

I'm not sure how nice this is, but it is a VG cutsheet that we use for transitioning from Nortel to VG ports.

Not bad... last night I took a stab at it and just created one sheet with

DID VG248 Location Comments

4050 3048 2412-1 stan's modem

We have (4) VG248s in a rack. Labeled 100, 200, 300,

400.

In our punchdown blocks from the VG248, I have the 25 pairs labeled to match the VG248.

SO the example above is: 3048 (3) is the VG248 48 is the port number.

Hey Tommer,

I like that idea (very concise!!) If you put the Location / Comments in one cell you could actually use them (via Copy/Paste) for the Description on the VG ports. I think I'll give that a go.

here is the sheet I used..

Just remember that 1001-1048 is used for VG248 #1

2001-2048 is used for VG248#2

etc
