We are experiencing a Problem with one of the VG248 Devices that we use. We are using Cisco Callmanager 3.3(4) and the Analogue Phones connected to the VG248 register to the CCM. We noticed that the Event Viewer of the CCM Server shows that Port " 0 " of the VG248 is trying to Register on the CCM and it fails. Previuously we noticed this case with the other VG248 Ports ( 1 - 48 ) that are Enabled on the VG248 Device and not configured on the CCM. We recovered this Problem by disabling the unconfigured Ports of the VG248. As for Port " 0 " , it is a Virtual Port not a Physical one as the other 48 Ports.
Any idea why this Virtual Port is trying to Register repeatedlly and fails.
Had the same problem, just make sure your programming port one in CCM and watching the results on the VG for port 1 - if you noticed there isn't a port zero on the VG to setup only in CCM. Hope this helps.
