VG248 Modem Trouble

Hi I have a VG248 and we are trying to use it with modems mostley US Robotics. I am having a problem with the modems initializing the line from the VG248. I get an error saying the modem can not find a dial tone. When I plug in a analog phone to the phone jack on the modem the modem seems to work fine.

Any Ideas.

You may need to call TAC about this one, and get a syslog capture from the VG248.

FWIW, I have used at least 4 different kinds of modems with the VG248, and have not had any problems with not getting dialtone or not being able to go offhook.
