VG248 MSG waiting indicator not working with Unity VM

We have a VG248 connected to call manager 3.3 and Unity 4.O.. Calls to the VG248 ports connect as expected to Unity, but MSG waiting indicator or stutter does not activate even though programmed in CM. MSG waiting works fine on the IP sets. What am I missing here? Thanks for any suggestions...

That's not going to work.

This is the config supported

CCM <--> TSP <--> UNITY

CCM <--> VG248 <--> LegacyVM system

I found the problem,,, Call Manager was not setting the port for message waiting lamp/stutter... I had to telnet into the VG248 and set the port. Now it works,,,
