VG248 to Call Manager 3.2(2)c Configuration

I have been attempting to configure a VG248 gateway (1.2 image) to a 3.2(2)c SPG Call Manager group. It continues to give me a "WARNING: SCCP 48: Registration failed: Error: DB Config" message on the console. Auto Registration enables the port but that is all. Attempting to manually add the port to CM, the "Cisco VGC Phone" selection is not even available in the "Add New Phone" selection pull-down window. Any ideas?

you have to add the VG248 as a gateway in the CM.

I have seen those error messages when auto-registration is off on the callmanager. So make sure your auto-registration in on and you have enough room (48 numbers) for those ports.
