Vic-2FXO +PBX + Voicemail

Ok, i am stuck. i have a cisco 2620 with a nm-1v, a Vic-2FXO, and a 7940 IP phone. i have inbound calls working, but normally with an analog phone plugged into our phone system, after 6 rings it is supposed to go to our voice mail system, but when someone makes a call into the sip phone, it just rings, rings, and rings, and never goes to voice mail. i acn't find what i am missing. can someone help me out?

Verify that the messages button on the Cisco Unified IP phone is pointed to the correct number or that the call forward number is the same as the Cisco Unity Express VM pilot number. Refer URL
