VIC-2FXS & Lucent Definity - 2 ports initiate a call simultaneously

Hi,

I have a 1750-4V and 2 VIC-2FXS cards connected to 4 analog trunks. When I off-hook one trunk, in the "show voice call" command appeared the 2 ports corresponding to the same card, trying to initiate the call, and of course don't work correctly.

Do you have any idea what is happening ?

Thanks a lot !

Regards, Anacelia

Are you saying that when you go off-hook on one port, that both ports appear to be tied up? It sounds like a problem in the wiring.

Can you make sure that the cables you are using between each FXS ports on the router and the device you are attaching to them are using 2 wires only? If you look at the following link it mentions that if you have both pairs coming into the port that the VIC will assume you are using a 2-line phone and you won't be able to use port 1, only port 0.
