VIC BRI's in a 2600 used as IPT gateways?

All:

I have a customer that wants to use VIC BRI's in a 2600 for their PSTN access. I have setup BRI's for voice on the old 804's ...no problem. I just have never used them for IPT gateways before. I can't imagine there is anything wrong with this, but I am just looking for some support should I encounter issues. Has anyone done this before?

Thanks!

Mike

Re: VIC BRI's in a 2600 used as IPT gateways?

Yes - it worked fine. A couple of points:

1) Use an NM-2V with a single VIC-2BRI if you want to use all four B-channels across the two BRIs. Don't put any other VICs in - you don't have enough DSPs.

2) You have to use H.323 - there is no support for the VIC-2BRI with MGCP and CallManager.

Post your configs if you have any problems

Regards,

Justin
