We have a series of IP/TV servers from which we would like to view programs with Microsoft Media Player on the users desktops, Including Multicasted videos. Has anyone done this? How do you get a URL to post on a WEB site that will point people to the video file and then view it with MMP?

Since there has been no response to your post, it appears to be either too complex or too rare an issue for other forum members to assist you. If you don't get a suitable response to your post, you may wish to review our resources at the online Technical Assistance Center (http://www.cisco.com/tac) or speak with a TAC engineer. You can open a TAC case online at http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen
If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.

With Windows Media Player, you can encode the video stream into ASF files, and derive ASX URLs from there. At this point, you can post these URLs into a company intranet, and upon a click, this HTTP URL will fire up the Windows Media Player. Both Multicast and Unicast are supported in this configuration.
