VMO (Viewmail) locales

Hi everybody,

we installed VMO 4.02 on W2003 Srv with Outlook XP and Terminal Services (for application). The Viewmail Options are in German, but a new message appears in English (From:, To:, Subject: and so on).

Is there a registry key or something like that, which had to be modified?

Bye,

Axel

Re: VMO (Viewmail) locales

From your post it sounds like you guys are running VMO via TS, is that correct? This isn't a supported configuration - can you try to run it locally and see if the same behavior is experienced? TS could be throwing off the language functionality here...

Re: VMO (Viewmail) locales

Hi Jeff,

yes we are running VMO via TS. We used VMO (3.xx) with Citrixx Metaframe on NT 4.0 and it works fine. Because NT is running out of support, we are going to use Windows Server 2003 with TS.

We have about 20,000 WBT (windows based terminals) in our network, so we will need to use VMO with TS.

On a normal PC (not with W2003) VMO works fine and even on W2003 TS it works but with partly wrong locales. Is there no chance to find out, why?

Thanks in advance,

Axel

Re: VMO (Viewmail) locales

I assume, then, when you run it locally instead of via TS it works OK...

No, this isn't a supported configuration so we're not going to use lab resources to run it down - the best I can suggest is to ping your account team and ask them to get this on the supported configs list so it can get testing and documentation resources applied to it.
