hi all,
recently i tried to conf voice transport on slow link,so i used ppp, multilink group 1 and so on on inter serial,i tried to conf ip rtp header compression under int multi 1 but this cmd was unknown so i used class-map,service policy etc...
My question is the following
what is the bandwith for one voice channel in such a case ? (i think 30K)
is there a way to reduce it at 12k as it was with
ip rtp header comp cmde?
is the rtp header comp no longer used ?
regards

If you have not done so already, change the codec to G.729 that will change the BW for one call to 24Kb with overhead around 32Kb. You might also want to turn on LFI and/or LLQ. The older IP phones supported G.723 codec which had a much lower BW at the cost of voice quality.
