Voice Gurus

Customer has multiple location, and currently is on Centerex (Nortel DMS 100) maintained

by PSTN Qwest, and the also have NEC PBXs and Norstar PBXs.

We will be installing Unity to replace one of their existing VoiceMail systems supporting

8,500 mailboxes. we will be integrating Unity Via PIMGs.

In few months, customer will be moving 3000 users to a New building, and would like to go

with Cisco IP Telephony Call Manager Solution.

Qwest will be their PSTN Provider to support the New Building's phone services. Few Questions

1) They want to keep thier existing Dial Plan for the new building which is 5 digits and reach

other phones on different locations (such as Centerex) by dialing 5 digits.

2) I know it is workable for IP to IP, Having Centralized Call Manager and branches IP Phones will be connected over IP WAN backbone, but not sure if it would work between Call Manager and user on remote location will be on Centerex Services.

3) Can those new users be part of the Main Unity Server which will be already in place as I mentioned above.

My solution would be to connect Call Manager in a new building to Unity Server in Old

building over WAN. Note: Unity has already connected to PBXs in Headquarter with PIMGs. Can Unity Service multiple Phone Systems such as Legacy PBXs and a Call Manager in a new building.

Any help will be appreciated.

Help will be appreciated.

Re: Voice Gurus

you will need to create new "integration(s)" on the unity server to have it talk to the new PBX(s).

see the following link for integration configuration in unity:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_installation_and_configuration_guides_list.html

(choose the appropriate integration guide for your version of unity and the PBX type you are trying to integrate with)
