Voice Mail Response

Voice Mail Messages are not indicated for several hours, for example a VM message left at around 12:00 (Noon), doesn't appear until about 4:30...any ideas what could cause this....<br>Thanks<br><br>Summer

Is the actual message not appearing, or is the message waiting indicator (MWI) not lighting?

If the MWI is not lighting immediately, check out the Unity 3.0 troubleshooting guide (applies to 2.4.6) Chapter 5 - Message Waiting Indicators > MWIs are being turned on and off slowly. http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/unity30/tsg/index.htm

If the problem is with actual messages being delayed, verify that the system clocks on the Unity server and (if applicible) the external Exchange server are correct. Another problem that can occur if the external Exchange server is down is that messages recorded while the primary Exchange server is down or disconnected are stored until the server is brought back up. The delay experienced between the time a message is recorded and its delivery is entirely dependant on the amount of time that the primary Exchange server was down or disconnected.

Finally, if this happens to everyone at once, there may be problems with the MTA in Exchange. Verify that you are running SP4, as that fixed some MTA issues.
