I am having voice quality problems that include echo and fading in and out of voice signal. It seems to only occur with one users phone. I have switched out the phone with no luck. This leads me to believe there may be a cabling/interference issue. What is the best way to troubleshoot something like this and verify if there are cabling issues. Phone is using cat5 cable that comes with IP phone to plug into wall jack.

You've ruled out the phone. If you have access to a Fluke Cat 5 cable tester you could test the Cat 5 run. In the absense of a Cat 5 tester, I would change ports on the switch. I'm thinking that is is most likely the issue anyway. Good Luck.

Plug the phone into the switch and see if you still get the problem. If you have a cable tester, you could test the cable. Have you looked at the info page on the phone, that will also give you TX/RX, drops, delay
