Voicemail messages are not reaching mailbox

When one leaves a message on someones voicemail, their message is not showing up in the mailbox. We have Unity ver. 3.0 with two subscriber templates servicing two separate companies. The default template used by the parent company is working fine, no issues with voicemail. The second company, which uses the second template, is having the problem. This was working until yesterday. The Call Manager systems were both rebooted two days ago.

Any suggestions?

When you leave a message for one of the mailboxes that fails, are there any errors logged in the Windows application event log?

Yes. The following two errors appear:

Event ID: 1020: Source: AvArbiter_MC

[Port 2] Failed routing a continued call to application [PHTransfer] with data object type [0]. Using Failsafe instead.

Event ID: 141 Source: AvConvPHGreeting_MC

Attempt to transfer from extension [] to __03:{637C857D-ED58-4389-BAC7-BC144667CC4E} fail due to the target Call Handler does not exist

After working with TAC, it is a problem with UNITY not talking to the message store of the onboard W2K Exchange server. The workaround has been to move the homed accounts on this server a second, primary Exchange server. That solved the immediate issue, but the issue of communication between unity and Exchange remains. We are considering upgrading to the new version 4.0 when it comes out. That's it for now, unless you have any suggestions.

That error posted there sounds like another issue besides the lack of voice mail showing up in particular subscribers' mailboxes. So is that still happening? Is that what you mean when you say "issue of communication between unity and Exchange remains"?

These errors are not indicative of Unity not being able to communicate with Exchange, so unless there were other errors that led TAC to that conclusion, I'm not sure why that workaround was recomended.

These errors actually indicate that there are links to objects in the database that do not exist. The DbWalker Utility should help troubleshoot these errors.
