VoiceMail Restrictions

Without making any changes (Size Restrictions) on the Exchange Servers, is there a way to have ActiveVoice automatically delete voicemail messages after "X" amount of time from the mailboxes? <br><br>

No... we shyed away from that functionality. In 2.4.6 you can empty your deleted items folder over the phone, but we don't automate this for you since we didn't want to risk removing messages that the user might not want us to toast... I can hear the legal papers being drawn up on that one... especially in a UM install. You come in looking for a message in your inbox that you saved for some reason and Unity had waxed it. Yikes.

for the most part allowing users to remove their deleted items folder does the trick here. Voic email only users (i.e. folks not using any kind of desktop access) can usually keep their box reasonably clean and are encouraged to do so since they can't send messages once they reach Exchange limit 1 and can't receive messages once they get to limit 2. We bark at them appropriately when they get close to limit 1.
