Voicemail Status

Greetings,<br><br>I would like to find out why after listening to a voice mail, the Cisco IP phone still shows that I've got voice mail & the MWI still turns on. I did not choose any options, just listen then end the call. Thank you for your help.<br><br>Agape,<br>Kwok :)<br><br>

By default if you don't take an action on a message, Unity marks it unread again. We assume worst case (i.e. you got disconnected and didn't mean to not take action). You can change the default behavior to go ahead and leave the message read if you disconnect instead of taking action by editing the registry. The RegistryEdit tool on AnswerMonkey.net on the general tools page has an entry for this feature... if you want to do it by hand, here's a post with the key to add:
