Voicemails Cutoff

We have just migrated to Unity 4.0.3 and CCM 3.3.3 and no one from the outside can leave a message for any of my subscribers for more than 40 seconds. Maximum message length is 300 seconds and the silence timeout is 5 seconds. Unity hangs up on the caller, even though the port indicates it is playing the Edit Message prompts, etc.

Now internally, it is a different story. Caller to caller can leave a 5 minute message and when you reach the limit, the system tells you you have done so and here are your options. So it works as to be expected.

Why is it not working for external callers?

Thanks,

gail

Re: Voicemails Cutoff

Hi Gail:

I will assume you are using a MGCP gateway. If yes, then, you are running into bug "CSCdw62748 V-mail will be cut off after 40sec if call via MGCP gateway"

Work-around

===========

1) Disable RTCP timer in MGCP. Using global config:

router-name(config)#no mgcp timer receive-rtcp
