VoIP accounting problem

Hi all,

I've got a problem in configuration of VoiceGW (Cisco 1750) and RADIUS.

Situation:

I configured Cisco for start-stop connection accounting and trying to make a call from one phone to another. Cisco sends me a lot of information but not that I need.

It sends a record when I pick up a receiver, when I have dialed a number (hear the ringing) BUT don't sends a record when I established a connection with another phone.

This information is unusable for accounting!

Does anybody know what's wrong? Wrong configuration? Wrong GW/Radius operation? Something else???

I spent several days and do not see the way to solve the problem. Please give some ideas.

Thanks,

Mike

Re: VoIP accounting problem

Hi Mike..

If you have accounting enable... you might want to make sure "gw-accounting h323" is configured. You should have the duration of the call in CDR.. One thing you might want to do is enable debug radius and debug aaa accounting. This will tell you which information is being send to the radius.. Seems like configuration issue...

Re: VoIP accounting problem

I have gw-accounting enabled.

This is an info sent by Cisco and received by RADIUS (2 events: handset pick up, and number dialed, NO CONNECTION SETUP event):

Could that be a problem because I make a call from one phone to another one connected to the same GW???
