Voip Fax Problem From Ricoh Aficio270 to RicohFAX3700L

The cisco 3640s in question are acting as voip gateways and are conected locally via E1 into their respective PABX. The voip gateways are connected via 34Meg microwave.

Both faxes are connected to erricsson MD110s and the MD110s are connected via the 2 CISCO3640s providing a voip trunk.

Fax calls fail 100% when faxing from a Ricoh Aficio270 to a RicohFAX3700L .

The call is answered and seems to proceed normally, then the call is cleared and no fax comes through.

The calls fail in t30, t38 and passthrough modes.

Fax calls from the Aficio270 to the FAX3700L work 100% through the public network

Fax calls from the FAX3700L to the Aficio270 workvia voip. (ie faxes the other way around work).

Calls to a Sharp fax connected instead of the FAX3700L work fine.

T30 and T38 have been tried and the problem persists. Fax calls are now running in passthrough mode, yet calls between these fax machines fail.

The dial-peers in use whaen the problem occurs are:

dial-peer voice 20 voip on the thurgvoip gateway

and

dial-peer voice 1 pots on the wagvoip gateway

All other voip voice and fax calls are working. The problem is just one way between these 2 particular fax machines.

Can anyone assists?

Hi,

can you check your fax machine setting and disable ECM (Error Correction Mode) ?
