I have stumbled across a few articles that indicate that VoIP Hair-Pinning is not supported on cisco IOS platforms. POTS to POTS is supported but can anyone tell me definitively what the latest position is, is it still not supported by latest release IOS?

My hardware is AS5350 gateways. I would appreciate if anyone could respond as I have a scheduled test configuration deadline and I was not aware of this limitation.

Carlo,

The information that you heard is correct. We do not currently support the hairpinning of VoIP calls on the IOS routers. This feature should be available in a future release of IOS.
