VoIP over ATM-FR Service Interworking

Hi,

I was reading that Service Interworking F.R. - ATM can't handle the fragmentation of the packet and it can introduce variable delay to voice packets, Does some know how to fragment the packets to send VoIP packets?

Is It possible to encapsulated Data and Voice over PPP Multilink to fragment the packets and then send over F.R.-ATM Service Interworking? If It´s possible where can I found information to configure this issue?

2 issues

1. are you performing the Frame/ATM internetworking in your ATM switch? or will the Carrier be doing that in the cloud?

2. assuming that the carrier is doing the interworking, you should ask if they will pass FRF.12

transparently from frame to atm w/o trashing the fragmentation.

AT&T does not support this in the UK at this time. Predicting 3rd Q 2002. dont know about domestic.

your only option is to perform the interworking in-house.
