voip problem

I have two 827 and since him I activate QoS's commands, when I realize a call of one to other one, it is late 10 seconds in the telephone begins to ring in the destiny. There is form of which the call is realized more rapid and not with this delay of 10 seconds?

Re: voip problem

That delay seems excessive. I would double-check your configs with TAC.

Re: voip problem

It sounds like the dial-peer pattern you are matching has a T in it, so it's waiting 10 seconds for you to finish dialing. Remove the T from the dial pattern or press # when you are done dialing to tell the router that you are done (and bypass the 10 second delay).

Re: voip problem

Ten seconds is the default inter-digit delay value, make sure to set it lower for variable length dialing plans using the T selector.

The timeouts interdigit 2, will cause the router to stop collecting digits and route the call after 2 seconds, without this parm, it will route the call after 10 seconds, the default value. You can set it for any value you like.

voice-port 1/0:1

input gain -3

output attenuation 3

echo-cancel coverage 32

timeouts interdigit 2
