VoIP PSTN GW

I would like to know whether there are VoIP

features are "lost" by pathing through a VoIP to PSTN gateway.

Re: VoIP PSTN GW

Are there any feature in particular you are worried about losing? When you put in a PSTN gateway you are usually trying to get out to the rest of the world. So what features you may lose would be necessary to get out to the rest of the world.

Let me know if I can help,

Re: VoIP PSTN GW

Hi.

Thank you.

In my question (mainly theoretical)

I mean "optional" VoIP functionalities, expressed, for example, by optional SIP headers

(subject, priority, authorization,...),

SDP parameters (e.g. time).

Whether, there are constraints on any VoIP (not mandatory) feature/function, caused by PSTN nature,

not specific GW implementation.

May be you know articles about VoIP and

PSTN/Cellular matching.

Regards.

Baruch.
