VoIP redundancy

Hi,

I have a customer who is having two routers in HSRP mode. But only one router supports FXS voice ports. He is having leased lines from each router to the destination configured in backup mode.At pres his LAN is working perfectly in HSRP mode. But what will happen to voice configured on active router. Is it possible to configure the voice ports so that the voice traffic should go thru the leased line connected to the other router when the pres link fails? The session target is the virtual address of the destination.Should I go for a route with a higher metric with next hop as LAN port of second router?

thanks in advance,

Silju

Re: VoIP redundancy

Often times complex configuration issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, it’s often difficult to do so for this type of issue.

If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.

Thank you for posting.
