VoIP with Linux & JNI

Dear friends,

I am doing my final year project in VoIP(in Linux Environment). As to make it a sort of user friendly and GUI based I thaught of using JNI(Java Native Interface)with c++ because Java do not support System programming as such. How can I proceed further? Is i worthwhile?Any other suggestions?

Are there any application developers in the forum that can offer suggestions to Radhakrishnan? If so, please reply to this thread.

Well, maybe it is a little bit late, but here is my opinion.

Developing you project in java, you must use jni, because you have system specific problems. Your program is Linux dependent as I understood, so why not write in C and use gtk for the GUI ?
