weird, weird 3550

Scenario: 3550 SM latest version c3550-i9q3l2-tar.121-13.EA1.

Pc booted from ghost floppy(this floppy disk has the all the necessary script) to automatically install OS from the Ghost server.

PC -3550-6509-Ghost server. PC is able to get IP address from DHCP, but however in the middle of process, PC hang there.Initially we thought that's script problem or cable or switch or switch port or something elso caused that. We tried diffent version different 3550 switch,PC , but still same problem. You may say what if I have something mis-configured on the 3550? But a PC having OS installed is able to work any application over 3550.

You may say GHost application having problem, but if I use 3524 to replace 3550, there is no any issue to finish the Ghost.

It's difficult to answer this, I know.Did anybody have this same issue before?

Re: weird, weird 3550

By any chance, are you using autonegotiation on the switch ports ? If so, I think, this is causing the PC to hang. I guess, you should hard-code the port on the switch to 100/full duplex. This should help you solve the issue.
