Data Object Hierarchy. It's the guy that abstracts the back end directories and message stores for the clients such as the phone conversations and the SA. The DOH consists of the MAL (Message Access Layer), SAL (Security Access Layer) and DAL (directory access layer) modules.
The idea is the access to the various directories and message stores (Exchange 5.5, Active Directory, Domino) are abstracted so each client doesn't have to know how to, say, find a user in the Active Directory tree somewhere.
Usually means the mail store or directory is passing back an error to us. For instance a MAPI error accessing a mailbox we're trying to get into etc... the error code returned in that case is actually coming back to us from Exhcange or AD in that case.
