I have a client having an issues with white noise during recordings from Unity. Sometimes the noise is at the beginning of the message, sometimes it is at the end, sometimes in the middle. I have had them change out the line cords and it made no difference. I also had them monitor the port with a butt set and see if they could hear the noise on the line. They did this and did not hear the noise but when they replay the message the noise is there.

this sound somewhat familiar... I think there was an issue with the Dialogic drivers when systems were getting low on available memory. It allocates contiguous chunks of memory and if there isn't an available chunk at the time when it's recording that's the size it needs you'll get spots of white noise recorded because the buffer's full. Or something along those lines.
Can you check the available/memory in use on that box? Does a reboot clear it for a whiel and then it comes back or anything like that?

Pre 2.4.5 and before we had a pretty significant memory leak in serial integration and one of the symptoms was buzzing and such during play back. If you are running pre-2.4.5 and serial integration, upgrade.
