Well... nothing you mention there should be a problem (assuming, of course, your not installing CCM on the same box with Unity... that's not supported). You can get build 21 of the AvCiscoTSP off our FTP site now (as of last Friday). You'll find it at "ftp://ftp.activevoice.com/Outgoing/AvCiscoTsp/" Youll see a single, self extracting executable there. Unpack it and itll have the install and instructions there for you.
You can start there but build 17 should work (Unity should at least come up).
I'm going to need some more details here... what's failing when you try to start Unity? If you look in the application event log you'll see which service failed during startup and some information as to why. Could be a number of things tripping you up and this is a good place to start.
