What is the policy or recommended action on Updating Windows through the Windows Update feature. Is it safe to apply the critical updates when they are available from Microsoft or should we wait for the next service pack release from Cisco.
In jan2001 I already asked my Cisco contacts to inform me on the procedure for securing IIS /callmanager. Since there had never been an official statement on what people should do with the UNICODE bug fix ( I was fearing a none working system and wanted Cisco's blessing for applying the patch )
It seems there is a white paper being written by Cisco/US on securing the callmanager but I haven't heard anything since Januari.
( Can someone from Cisco inform/update the VOIP community how to secure the IIS/callmanager/voip arena?? )
If you want you can try patchwork to see if your (NT/win200) system is safe.
