world wide web service stays in starting status.

I got a complaint that the corporate directory does not work.

I wanted to restart the www service, but since then the service is in a starting status. None of the IP Phone services is currently available on the CM.

Obviously the Admin and User pages are also not available.

Restarting the IIS service also timesout, because the www cannot be stopped or started.

I cannot boot the callmanager, because the ICM must be available for support purposes.

Any ideas?

If you're running any version in CM 3.1(3a), it is likely that you are running into the following bug: CSCdx02228, resolved in 3.1(4a) which is available on CCO now.
