write variable data to xml file

I'm looking for suggestions or documentation links for how to write data set by a variable in a script into an xml file. Another script would then call the xml file to act on that data. The data determines which greeting plays. The customer is using a web front-end to write to the xml file currently but wants to dial in and accomplish the same thing.

Any suggestions? I've got the sript for collecting the digits, I just need to write that to the xml file.

Re: write variable data to xml file

One way is to use the app gateway. Assign the value to a call variable, then send it via the app gateway node. You can check "no reply" so that it continues the script execution without waiting for a reply. You'll have to write the process that will record the data sent to an xml file.

In the other script, use the gateway node but use the reply from the app gateway proxy to pass back the data you need from your xml file. Let me know if you want help with it at lmewshaw@simplicti.com
