Xfer to Unity

This is most likely a Call Manager issue, but I'm hoping someone has seen this before:<br>Calls from the pstn that get transferred to Unity, either directly to the Unity DN or xferred to a DN w/forward no answer to Unity drop. Calls made directly to a DN w/fna to Unity work fine. The problem only occurrs when the call originates from the pstn AND when it gets xferred to Unity. <br><br>CCM ver 3.0.11, Unity, TSP 1.0(0.36)<br><br><br>

It could be a codec mis-match between the GW and Unity. By default, IP phones can handle both G.729 and G.711. By default, IOS voip dial-peers handle only G.729. By default, Unity handles only G.711.

That seems to fit the pattern that you have descibed here, as long as, "Calls made directly to a DN w/fna to Unity work fine" refers to internal calls directly to the DN.

You can try either modifying the dial-peers to IP phones and/or Unity to support G711 or enable Unity to support G.729.

Can you verify which codec the GW and Unity are set for?

Thanks, sometimes a fresh perspective is all it takes. One voip peer had the g711 codec the other didn't.
